Discovery Parks - Bargara

Waking up to the water view is such a treat. The park is peaceful and relaxing, just right for a rest and recoup. This was my second visit, and it won’t be my last. The staff are fantastic: friendly, welcoming and always helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. My cabin was clean, well kept and comfortable, with everything I needed, like a little home away from home. I asked for the same cabin as last time, and they were happy to arrange it. They also accommodated an extension. Highly recommend!

We only stayed one night in a two-bedroom cabin for a work trip, but our friends with a van stayed for a week. The unit had everything needed to be self-sufficient for a longer visit, with great facilities and clean, well-maintained spaces. We had a nice ocean view and breeze, even though we were further back. It’s a great park in an awesome location, walking distance to shops, the pub and the surf club right next door. The staff were friendly and helpful. It would suit a couple, family or solo traveller. We’ll definitely return for longer.

I love this beautiful park and feel lucky to be local so I can drop in for a night anytime. The grounds are neat, the amenities are sparkling, and reception staff may be the nicest people you’ll meet. Camping here is always a pleasure. Thanks for being so friendly and welcoming every time.

The camp kitchen was great. We brought our camper, so didn’t stay in a cabin. The park is laid out well, and the amenities are clean and well maintained. It’s an old-school caravan park within walking distance of shops and cafes, under 2km away. Across the road there’s a surf club serving meals and breakfast. The park also caters on some nights, with an Asian food van one night and pizzas on another. The kids’ playground isn’t fenced, so little ones are hard to manage.
