For a one-night stay it was fine, but the price felt high for the standard, and it didn’t feel like a resort-style getaway. The cabins are dated, especially the bathrooms, where the toilet and bathroom area are very small. In cabin 24 the main bedroom air-conditioner was extremely noisy and made the back wall shake, so sleeping was difficult. The location is convenient, and the tennis court was a nice extra. The kids enjoyed the games area, though it needs better cleaning and upkeep. There were cobwebs, chipped paint, and rust around the pool area. We were a family of four with a baby. Some updates and better maintenance would give the place more potential.

Dinner there last week was nice, and the sweets were terrific. The menu isn’t really 'different' anymore, though, and the mains are only a step or two above pub food. I reckon Bargara Golf Club is THE place to eat.

The cabins have a good amount of beds for the space, and ours was clean, with good air-conditioning and a fan. Reception staff were friendly, the price was good, and there was enough space between cabins that we couldn’t hear the neighbours. The location was perfect, just two minutes from the beach but quiet and away from the main roads. Some things needed fixing. The microwave was propped up on little wedges because it was uneven, and the plates wouldn’t rotate. There was no extraction fan in the shower room, the toilet door jammed, and Wi-Fi didn’t work for us.

We came for a quick, busy stay and the room was fantastic, affordable, and just what we needed. The restaurant was busy, but they catered perfectly for us: we had a baby, were late, and were exhausted. Halfway through, we changed our minds and decided to get takeaway instead. We’d missed meals, and they went above and beyond. We’ll most certainly be back.
