Bargo Motor Inn

It was handy having the Sports Club next door for meals, with plenty of other things close by too. The bed was comfy, but the quilt wasn’t warm enough and I had to get another blanket from the cupboard. I was put in a Family Room. The facilities were basic, with no lamps by the beds, just bright ceiling lights, so I was glad I’d brought a camping lantern. There wasn’t a toaster or microwave in the room, but when I asked, they explained those were available in the kitchen space in the laundry room. Useful if, like some of us, you want to heat your own food and keep travel costs down. The hot shower was lovely, though parts of the bathroom showed wear. The hairdryer was old and discoloured, the towel shelf was rusty and needed replacing, there was a long crack in the top of the vanity, and the bottom of the inner doorframe was swollen from water damage.

We walked next door to the Bargo Sporting Club for awesome meals. The room was clean and the bed comfortable, just right for us for a night while travelling.

We had a perfect stay, 5/5 and more. The staff were amazingly friendly and ready for any needs we had, and the rooms were great and affordable. There’s a Sports Club right next door where you can get a delicious meal and beverage.

We wouldn’t stay again. The bed and shower were good, clean and comfortable, but it was a touch pricey at 150 considering it was cash only. The old reverse cycle air conditioning was very noisy and stopped heating in the morning, with 2 degrees outside. Trains were noisy throughout the night too.
