John and Shirley made us feel so welcome, and the pool, spa and koi pond were lovely extras. Everything we needed was close enough to walk to. Our room was spotless and comfortable, with air conditioning, a ceiling fan and a roomy bathroom with a rainwater shower head. They’ve thought of the little things too, from cutlery and bowls to takeaway cups for a cuppa on the go. Best motel I’ve stayed in. I’ll be back, and would recommend it if you’re in Barham.

We only had one night here, but it was such a lovely stay. The pool and spa were pristine, and sitting outside with a smoke and the sound of the koi pond’s water feature was so peaceful. The room was fresh, really clean and had everything we needed. John and Shirley were fantastic hosts, and town and the river are close by. Five stars from us.

The photos don’t really show how nice the renovated rooms are, and there are plenty of power points plus wireless charging stations. I travel a lot for work and stay in some expensive places, but Acacia Rose beats them hands down. It was the cleanest motel room I’ve ever stayed in. The hosts were lovely and so helpful. They even had the spa ready for us after our walk.

We sold this place about 20 years ago and hadn’t been back until now. It’s looking amazing, and the motel has been updated and is brilliantly clean. The owners now are absolutely lovely and so helpful. Great job, thank you. We’d come back again.

We got in around 9 pm, and John had stayed up to welcome us and hand over the room key. The room was clean and felt homely. Since we were heading off early, we chose a simple continental breakfast. Would recommend.
