Lillydale Farm Homestay

The kids were thrilled with the horse riding and feeding the animals over our three days at Lillydale Farm this Dec 15. We city dwellers loved the calm, the greenery stretching across the landscape, and waking up to all those farm sounds. The small family business made every family feel special with their hospitality. We’ll treasure the memories, and definitely recommend it to families with animal-loving kids and adults wanting a break from city life. —Shan

The farm animals were a big hit with the kids, especially getting to interact with them and ride the horses. We spent two relaxed nights at Lilydale Farm, where there was plenty of room for them to run around and a peaceful atmosphere. The kids rated it their favourite part of the whole Gold Coast trip!

Doug and his family were so kind and helpful throughout our 3D2N stay. Since my daughter uses a wheelchair, they offered to take her around on a quad bike during feeding time. We really appreciated everything they did to make the trip special. The cosy Barney Room and its courtyard had a spectacular view of Mt Barney, and we even snuck out at night to see the sky full of stars. We loved the activity list and the option to pre-order food, which made planning easier. During the school vacation we had a wonderful time meeting the farm animals at feeding sessions, and exploring the countryside by tractor was so cool. I even got to drive it with Doug :) We miss you all!

The location is beautiful, and the hosts were very friendly. We took the half-day farm tour, which the kids enjoyed, though it felt very rushed. With a couple of days to hang around, I think it would be really relaxing. It seems like a nice place to stay.
