My seafood pasta in garlic and chilli oil with other spices was close to the best I've ever had. It came loaded with mussels in their shells, prawns, scallops and squid. I only wished I'd had crusty bread to mop up the exquisite juices. My partner said the parmi was the best he could remember, and my half dozen Kilpatrick oysters were tasty, if a bit small. We made sure the chef got our highest compliments. We went on Monday night without a booking and were lucky to get the last table. The staff were welcoming, the decor made a nice ambient vibe, drinks were reasonably priced, and the food was awesome.

Book ahead if you plan to go on a Monday night. It was packed when I dropped in for dinner. The food menu had a good range of typical pub dishes and options for different dietary requirements, and the servings were really big. The staff were happy, helpful and pleasant. Outside looked clean and well presented, while inside seemed recently refurbished with new tartan carpets, fresh paint and new furnishings. I'll visit again and again, but book first.

Even with the venue about 75% full, conversation was easy, helped by thick carpeting that absorbed noise. Beer and wine were very reasonably priced, and the food was very nice and reasonably priced too. We were greeted at the door of this newly renovated hotel by a doorman, which felt special. Once inside, another staff member showed us the amenities.

The chef kindly made seafood spaghetti in a tomato base sauce for me, even though it wasn't on the menu. It was absolutely delicious, the best I've had. Thanks for being so obliging. Service was top class too, and I'd highly recommend the food and cocktails.

The pub had such a warm, easygoing feel, and the view over the water was lovely and relaxing. We had a great meal, and the staff were welcoming and attentive the whole time. I enjoyed the visit with my wife, which made it extra special. A comfortable place to unwind, with really good food.
