Bridge Motel

We arrived late, but they had a room available at short notice for three adults. The staff were friendly, and the room had comfortable beds, a nice bathroom and shower, cable TV and a bar fridge. It's close to the town centre, and I'd definitely come back. Recommended.

The rooms are roomy for a motel and the price is very decent. It's a beautiful spot for photos just across the road, and you can walk to everything. The place is so blue, even the toilet water is blue. We ended up calling it Blue Motel and humming that song on the drive home.

They gave us a room looking out at the water and bridge, though massive cranes doing bridge work blocked much of the view. The room was neat, and I liked the bed linen. In the closet we found a mini fridge, tea, biscuits, an iron and ironing board. Towels, soap and shampoo were provided too. Check-in was pretty smooth: wait your turn, give them the booking surname and pay upfront. They also offer breakfast. You fill in the menu and hand it to reception before 8 pm. I'd try staying here again.

The units are older, but ours was very clean and had everything we needed. The owners and staff were friendly, breakfast was a good size and good value, and the pool was clean and well looked after. It's close to everything. We were happy with our two nights and will return.
