With drinking culture declining in the UK and alcohol prices always going up, pubs are shifting towards good food, and the historic Victoria Bathurst does that really well. The food is very well priced and the atmosphere is great. The recently refurbished hotel rooms are nice and comfortable, and well priced for what's on offer, even over a long weekend. Staff are friendly, and it's a stone's throw from town and the Bathurst train station and coach terminal. What's not to like? 12/10, I'll be back to the Vic.

The room was ready, clean, and smelled nice, and the location was great for getting into town. Service and food were both great too. I’m new to writing reviews, but this place was banging. Thumbs up! And thanks to Kate/Jackie, sorry, I’m bad with names.

We ate dinner in the rear courtyard and had great service. There were the usual pub options like schnitties, plus some really good alternatives that are definitely worth ordering.

There’s a big selection of beers, with at least one cider on tap, and street parking was easy. At the sold-out Andy Irvine concert in the "Little Albert" room last night, the varied menu was a nice surprise. Our freshly prepared meals arrived hot at the table about a third of the way through the concert. The food was better than average pub fare, though not cheap, and the prices were OK. With only one young person handling the bar, food orders, and drinks, the queue took a while to get through, even though the show had sold out a couple of days earlier.

The beer garden was great for our fmaily dog travelling with us, and the atmosphere was lovely. This pub has loads of character, with parts dating back over 100 years and a little twist that keeps its charm. Service and food were awesome, and thanks to the staff and owner for making it memorable. A beautiful place for young and old.
