Fran had arranged after-hours access, so arriving late was no problem. The cabins are well cared for, and the park is really clean. I also loved the walk along the riverbank. We’d stayed here before and came back for another visit. Such a lovely spot.

Beauty Point evicted 82-year-old Kathleen Philp, leaving her homeless, and I find that absolutely disgusting. They blocked access to her cottage and car, which she owns. I hope she takes them to court and wins. I would never support a business that treats an elderly person this way.

The cabin had a well-equipped kitchen with everything needed to prepare meals, though the bedroom and bathroom were both short on space, including room for luggage. It’s about 6 km out of town, close to the main road, so you can hear cars from the cottage. The noise isn’t loud, but it’s noticeable. Registration is right near the entrance, around 100 m from the road, and the woman there was very expressive and polite.

A quick drive gets you to the local cafes and IGA. The cabin was cute and had everything I needed, and the bed was probably the best I slept in during my holiday, even though I was staying somewhere different every day.
