The four of us had a special weekend celebrating our birthdays. We loved the house’s atmosphere and how friendly our hosts, Glenda and Charles, were. Breakfast was delicious, and we appreciated the afternoon tea and chocolates for supper too. A lovely place to treat yourself for a weekend.

Charles and Glenda, a belated but heartfelt thank you for the warm hospitality you gave my wife and me at your stately yet unpretentious establishment. The attention to detail was everywhere, and we really did feel transported back to 1871. In the afternoon sun, the conservatory was peaceful and looked out over the manicured gardens. Breakfast in the dining room was to die for, thanks again, Glenda, and the formal lounge and open fire brought back memories of my grandparents’ home. The pre-turn-down supper was a lovely extra. Your knowledge of the local area and Beechworth community activities is second to none. We’ll gladly recommend you to family and friends. All the best, TD. I’m extremely disappointed this review was removed from the page. Google has my details and should check with me before deleting a review. Thanks, TD.

We’ll definitely be back. The hosts were welcoming, breakfast was fantastic, and the house was cosy with very comfortable rooms. It’s also within walking distance of the main road.

The hosts were wonderful and we’d stay again. It’s a short walk from the town centre, and both the room and shared living room were very comfortable.
