Freeman On Ford

The sitting and reading rooms had treats throughout the day, coffee, and old school charm in buckets. Our hosts were also full of suggestions for things to do, places to see, and places to eat, and we were never disappointed. The breakfasts were dreamy and served with style. They even introduced us to the other guests, remembering everyone’s names, occupations, and little details. We arrived expecting a lovely stay with a host, but Freeman on Ford gave us old school service with style. We were greeted, shown our room, then offered another one if we preferred it, and we did. It was historical, luxurious, and comfortable. Heidi and Jim did everything they could to make our stay comfortable and memorable. Jim even let me charge my EV with his own equipment, another example of them going the extra mile. Treat yourself to the beautiful rooms, building, and hosts at Freeman on Ford.

My room opened onto a peaceful spot overlooking the pool, and it was gorgeous. Breakfast was delicious, especially the flavour-packed omelette. Heidi and Jim went above and beyond, and I really cherished our conversations. Heidi and I talked about Beechworth’s special pull, and I loved hearing about the history of their beautiful establishment and their own journey in town. You can tell the owners truly love this place and are passionate about it. Ask Jim about his chocolates, our kids devoured them as soon as we got home. Can’t wait to return.

We had such a relaxing, lovely stay and would have liked to stay longer. Heidi and Jim are warm and welcoming, and the location is perfect. Beautiful place, amazing hosts, and a delicious breakfast. See you again!

We spent a week here, and I’m glad we did. Our spacious downstairs rooms felt luxurious in every way. Jim’s breakfasts were fresh and delicious, made with the best ingredients. From check-in to check-out, Jim and Heidi made us feel at home. They were welcoming, attentive, and generous, and their excellent suggestions helped us make the most of our stay.
