We were given an upgrade to a family room without asking, which was nice. I think it cost around $175 for what had originally been a triple room, though I can’t remember the exact room type. The rooms were spacious and clean, with well-kept linen and toiletries. Wi-Fi was patchy now and then but manageable. Reception staff were nice, and you could pay by cash or card. The hotel is close to the city centre, within walking distance of most major attractions. It was busy over the weekend, but there seemed to be enough parking for everyone, with plenty of spaces outside as well. There’s a pool on site, though I didn’t use it. I don’t remember meals being available. The hairdryer in our room didn’t work, but I didn’t ask for another since I didn’t need one.

We only stayed one night, so I can’t speak to a longer holiday here. For the price, it was definitely worth it. The location is amazing, within walking distance of the main street, and the rooms were as advertised, clean and comfortable. The pool is semi above ground and was perfectly fine. I think the online photos make it look much worse than it is.

Really roomy, quiet, and with lovely high timber ceilings overlooking a leafy street. It’s a little dated, but I didn’t mind, and there was space for toiletries on the bathroom bench. I loved having the car right at the door and checking in with a person instead of dealing with a dreadful lockbox. The bakery, Chinese restaurant and bee shop are so close. There’s a coffee machine and good Wi-Fi too.

I went on a whim for two nights last month, in Nov. Brian, or Bri-Anne 😂, was friendly, funny and helpful, and knew Beechworth well. They suggested things to do during my stay. The room was just right for what I wanted: a quiet place, only minutes on foot from town, with all the amenities I needed and parking right outside my door. As an animal lover, I especially loved resident kitty Mia and the cheeky, very friendly magpies 😻🐧. Highly recommend, and I’d definitely stay again!

We arrived quite late, but called ahead and they made things easy for us. The service was great, the price fantastic, and the room beautiful. Town was within walking distance. Really can’t complain.
