The internet was the one thing that let me down. It was fine on my first visit, then really patchy the next time. Otherwise, this motel is well equipped and in a handy spot, with a fridge, kettle, toaster, microwave, hairdryer and AirCon, which you need in this town. IGA and Egerton st, the main drag, are both an easy walk away.

The room was clean, and checking in was easy even though I got there late in the afternoon. The TV volume didn't work, though, and getting water into the kettle took some fiddling. The room facilities were otherwise okay.

Customer service was great. My room was spacious and very tidy, and it's an easy walk to the cafes and shops on the main street. The fridge was so noisy that I switched it off for the night, but otherwise it was a nice, clean place to stay in Emerald.

The room felt like a proper little studio, and I liked having an outdoor area at the back. The beds were comfortable and everything looked clean and fresh. The TV was easy to use and had heaps of channels, including Fox sports, Bloomberg, Sky and ESPN. Just brilliant!

The accessible room gave my elderly mother-in-law and me plenty of space while she was moving in her wheelchair to live with us. It was tidy, very clean and had everything we needed. The staff were friendly, and the carport fit our long, loaded vehicle under cover in case of rain. At $135/night, the quality was excellent value.
