RACV Cobram Resort

The cabins were clean and tidy, and the people at reception and the cafe were really lovely. But the farm noises from 7am to 8pm were very annoying. We had four people in two cabins, with only two towels in each, and rooms are only serviced for stays of six days or more. We weren’t offered fresh towels or toilet paper during our stay. One cabin had very poor water pressure. A load of washing cost $5 per dryer cycle and needed three cycles.

The park was clean and well kept, with good facilities, and our ensuite site was spacious and private. The staff were friendly, and we’ll definitely return. The ensuite sites do need some upgrades: our floor tiles had chips, the toilet cistern top was stained and its plastic had degraded, and I didn’t like finding buckets with mops left in the bathrooms. There’s breakfast and lunch at reception and the cafe, but food trucks in the evening or pizza and pasta at dinner would be a welcome option.

Check-in was quick, and the cabin was clean and well looked after. It was a very hot day, so arriving to find the air-con already running was a nice touch. We had a relaxing two-night stay in a park cabin at RACV Cobram Resort. The pools, both indoor and outdoor, were the highlights, and we enjoyed the tennis courts too. The kids’ playground looked excellent. There’s also an indoor games room, though we didn’t get to try it. I’d gladly recommend the place.

The resort is spacious and laid out really well. We had a cabin for two that was more than adequate for a week, with everything we needed. The air-con kept us comfortable through temperatures in the 40s, although the remote took this UK visitor a day or two to figure out. The bed and pillows were the most comfortable we’ve had in a self-catering place. It took a couple of days to get used to the bird scarer noises from the fields nearby and the cabin creaking as it warmed or cooled, but neither kept us awake.
