Room 3 was spacious, with a comfortable bed and clean sheets, but the problems outweighed those positives. The door had a big split down the middle with daylight showing through, and daylight around the edges too, so it didn’t feel secure. The spa was advertised, but a notice said it wasn’t working. One supposedly clean towel had a stain, so we used another, and the bathroom fan was filthy. There were holes in the bed cover, holes in the tops of both bedside drawers, and mismatched lamps that looked straight from an op shop. A dog barked for most of the night. We don’t know what the other rooms are like, but we were disappointed with ours. It’s budget accommodation, but we’ve stayed elsewhere for the same price without these issues.

It’s affordable and right in town, near the hospital, marketplace and dining district, so I’d recommend it. The staff were lovely, around whenever we needed help or had questions. Our room was quiet and comfortable, with all the amenities listed in the description. It smelled a little smoky, though that’s understandable for an older place that may once have housed long-term tenants.

Good value for the price, with a spacious room that had a sofa, table and chairs, microwave, and a decent-sized fridge. The ice inside the fridge could use a clean, but the bathroom and toilet were quite clean. We checked in late after a one-night stay and had to call reception to get the key. That information could easily have been sent beforehand, and it left me wondering what would happen if someone arrived very late and couldn’t get through by phone. The air conditioner was very dusty, so with my allergies I couldn’t keep it on without coughing. The room could also use a light spray of air freshener.

Cheap accommodation, but the bathroom was filthy and had mould all through the shower. The toilet door wouldn’t shut, and opening the front door was a struggle. We used the chain lock at night to feel safe. The outside bins were overflowing and smelled bad.

The room was spacious and had daily cleaning, and the old facilities were clean enough. The bathroom mould could have used more attention. For some reason, they didn’t provide a tax invoice.
