The room itself was okay, with plenty of coffee, tea and biscuits, and the woman at reception was lovely. But the property was very untidy: overflowing bins, weeds, unemptied ashtrays, and rubbish and debris blowing around. We saw a manager kick a bin lid out of the way instead of putting it back on the bin to stop rubbish blowing everywhere. The pool was dirty and out of order, and there was an old milk crate outside one of the rooms. The place needs a lot of maintenance. The window sills in our room hadn’t been cleaned, and many of the walls had dirty marks. The office smelled so bad it was hard to breathe. I wouldn’t stay at this motel again.

This was a pretty dismal stay, probably the worst Choice Hotel I’ve been to. A dead fly sat on the bedside table until checkout. Housekeeping was inconsistent: there were no biscuit refills on Days 1 and 2, and on Day 2 the bed wasn’t made and there was no milk in the fridge. The TV had no outside signal and was a pain to cast to. I probably won’t stay again unless I absolutely have to.

The room felt like decent three-star accommodation, with biscuits and tea and coffee facilities. The mattresses were hard, though. The pool area was disappointing, too. The pool wasn’t particularly clean, and both the spa and sauna were out of order.

It was good value for money, and the room was tidy. Still, it’s getting quite dated, and we noticed a few things needing upkeep, including chipped items and paintwork that needs redoing. The shower also needs a replacement showerhead.

The rooms were very comfortable, and the modern TVs let you watch Netflix. In Room 6, though, the shower was poor and there were ants inside.
