AAOK Riverdale Caravan Park

We had our own parking spot right outside the unit and a private verandah where we could watch the birds, lizards and geckos. The place was so quiet we slept like logs. The unit's facilities were fairly new, and the couple of minor issues I mentioned as we left didn't affect our stay. The staff were lovely and I couldn't fault them or the room. It's close to the shops, and we'll book again whenever we can when travelling to Bundy or passing through.

I needed somewhere near town for an appointment, and this park was really convenient, just across the bridge. It's small, tidy and clean, right beside the river, though mangroves block the view. There were midgies later in the afternoon. Reception staff were very friendly. A nice place to stay if being close to town matters.

We had everything we needed for our Apollo camper, including power, water, a TV antenna and a toilet dump point. The shower, toilet and laundry facilities were great and locked for safety. It's only a couple of minutes' drive to shops, fuel, food, pubs and clubs, parks and fishing. Amazing spot!

The recent floods had affected the park, so the laundry wasn't operating during our five-day stay. That made things quite difficult to manage. Once the repairs are finished, I think it will be a comfortable place to stay.
