The hotel has old-world charm and a great central spot. We enjoyed our meals, which were tasty and came in good-sized portions. The staff were friendly and served us efficiently.

It was easy to explore the city on foot from this well-located hotel, with most attractions within reach. The rooms are cosy but a decent size, and very comfortable. Staff were friendly and the service was great.

The location made it so convenient to walk to most of the major tourist attractions. The rooms aren’t huge, but they’re a decent size and comfortable. What made the stay memorable was the grandeur and exquisite interior. With its beautifully preserved decor and elegant touches, stepping inside felt like going back to the Victorian era. The bathroom and some other facilities could use an upgrade, but for the price I paid, it was excellent value. I loved the atmosphere, decor, and overall feel of the hotel.

I haven’t stayed here, but I went into the bar and left after one drink. The service was terrible, and I’ve never met bar staff who were more abrupt and rude. Inside, the ambience was awful, like a cheap pokies venue. It’s a shame, because the pub’s exterior is incredible, old, elegant, and regal. I wouldn’t bother going in. Just admire it from outside.

Our walking group of fourteen stayed overnight, and we’re definitely coming back. The ambience was great, the rooms were very nice with comfortable beds, and breakfast was really tasty. Prince Charles, now King, and Princess Diana stayed there in 1983.
