The Anchorage Bermagui

The unit felt like home for our family of 2 adults and 2 kids, and the location was great for walking around or making a short drive to the town centre. The units have lovely facilities for kids, and the staff made everything from booking to checkout easy and enjoyable. The website showed no availability for our dates, so I booked by phone with Anna, who helped sort it out over the phone and in a couple of emails. We arrived two hours before check-in hoping to leave our bags, but the room was already ready and the staff let us check in early. During the stay, we called about replacing a kitchen pan that wasn't in great condition. Staff were out shopping, but said they'd get a new one, and it was waiting when we got back from our day out. Amazing location and wonderful staff.

We spent the days exploring nearby Mimosa Rocks National Park, the Blue Pools, the Salt Marsh down the lane and the shops in town, just a short walk away. We also watched whales and their calves putting on a show just off the headland. For coffee, we went to Espresso & Gin Bar, then picked up baked treats and some of the best sourdough we've ever had at Honor Bread. We ate at Boneless Vegetarian Cafe and had delicious pizza and pasta at Ill Passagio at the Wharf. Back at The Anchorage Bermagui, the spacious, modern apartment was spotless, with what looked like a brand new, fully equipped kitchen and bathroom. Crisp linen and comfy beds made for perfect nights of sleep. We had a wonderful stay and can't recommend it highly enough. We'll definitely be back!

There's a boat ramp just 50m away, handy for fishing, stand up paddle boarding, kayaking or canoeing. Walk down to the marina for sunrise and a look at some amazing boats. The apartments are neat, clean, spacious and well equipped, and the hosts are super friendly. If you're after somewhere special with a relaxing feel and plenty of room, this is it.

We stayed two nights mid-week. The kitchen was great and the beds were comfortable, and the apartment was spotless and very well maintained. The whole resort is clean and well tended. I was working in the lounge area of unit 15 and would have liked more light there. We'd definitely stay again. The internal unit photos on the website from a Google search didn't do it justice.
