Par Five Shacks

I stayed two nights and was really, really happy with my accommodation choice. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean, with a lovely indoor-outdoor feel. I liked the comfy bed, couch and large TV screen. From my first contact, the greeting was cheerful, helpful and professional, and I couldn't speak more highly of the place. I didn't eat at the Tavern, so I can't comment on the meals. Loved this place. If I could live here, I would! 😊 Otherwise, I’ll be back.

The Tavern food was a nightmare to get. The staff were extremely rude, and items were missing from the order. I wouldn't recommend the Par 5 shacks or stay again. I had high hopes but was completely disappointed. The TV was partly unhooked when we checked in, and the room was quite noisy because of the fridge. At 3am the emergency exit plan fell off the wall and woke us all up. The outdoor table was filthy and the overall cleanliness wasn't great. Worst of all, the bed was badly sunk in and so uncomfortable to sleep on.

I’ve stayed here on 2 separate occasions. The luxury rooms have nice beds and the best bathrooms. The golf club restaurant next door is great too. I recommend stating if you don't need a disability access room.

Great base for exploring the Riverland, in an excellent location and position. The place is nice and modern, clean, and has a very comfortable bed and pillows. The bath towels were huge, fluffy and soft, and the bath was 10/10. It’s a good standard. I agree with the comment that it’s a tad too minimalist and maybe missing some finer touches. The lack of light-blocking curtains above the sliding doors is a small issue, but can be annoying during the day. I’ll be back for sure.
