We found Cottonwood Lodge when we stopped in off the street looking for somewhere to stay for a couple of days. From then until checkout, Ash was respectful, helpful and such a gentleman. He and his wife are wonderful hosts, and it’s a lovely family-run place. Our room was clean and comfortable, with what we needed, a comfortable bed and a roomy bathroom. There’s plenty of space in the shared areas too, including a large dining room, sitting rooms and a games room. The lodge also has a pool, though we didn’t need it during our winter stay. It’s close to Berridale town, and there’s free parking at the back. We’d happily stay again and recommend it. Thank you, Ash.

We had two rooms for the week while skiing, and the communal areas were great for playing pool and games with friends. The owners were lovely to deal with and had plenty of good chats with us. There was also a continental breakfast, just right for quick ski mornings. The amenities were great: accessible parking and a drying room for all our snow gear. An amazing stay at The Cottonwood Motel, 10/10 recommend!

Cottonwood feels really homely. The breakfast room is large and joins onto a comfy lounge, with wood fires in both. Our rooms were clean and comfortable, and Erin and Ash are welcoming hosts who are always happy to chat. A family member and I have stayed twice in the last 2 months. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again next time I’m in the area.

The rooms were incredible, and the small buffet and recreation area were great too. I had an amazing time here a month or two ago, sharing a room with a friend, and enjoyed the whole stay. The owners were lovely to chat with by the fire, morning or night, and the service was excellent. It’s an amazing place run by amazing people. I’d recommend it to anyone.

The place was clean, tidy and ready for us, and breakfast was fresh and kept coming, with the utensils we needed. After a snowy day out, the owners kindly helped us dry our clothes. They were friendly and happy to answer any questions from my family. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay. We’ll be back on our next snow trip.
