Wintersun Gardens Motel

The motel was in a handy spot, about a five-minute drive from the center where there are places to get food. We had a lovely stay, and everything was clean, tidy, and very nice.

The rooms are somewhat small, and the walls a little thin. Apart from that, it was what I expected from a small motel. A good place to stay when visiting Freycinet National Park, and I’d stay again if I was in the area.

The room wasn’t worth the money, and I wouldn’t stay here again. It looked nothing like the photo, and it was old. There was a noisy fan and heater, and it wasn’t clean enough. I found lots of dust under the beds when I had to pick something up. Flies were on the window ledge before we moved in, and the window wouldn’t lock. The fridge’s small freezer was so blocked with ice that I couldn’t use it, and I had to throw away the ice cream I’d put in there. We stayed for two days. Very disappointing.

We only stayed one night, but it made our family trip around Tasmania much more memorable. We even got lucky and saw the Southern Lights from our front door, thanks in part to the helpful tips from the woman at reception. She was fantastic at check-in and explained everything clearly, including things to do around Bicheno. We were given a complimentary upgrade to our own apartment, which was the cherry on top. It was modern, spotless, and very comfortable. Our whole family loved it, and this is the best motel we’ve stayed at so far. Five stars almost doesn’t cover it. Thanks for the wonderful service. Highly recommended, and we’ll definitely come back. Please keep up the great work!
