Mudgee Vineyard Motor Inn

When we got back from dinner, we found that my partner’s bike had been damaged. We’d driven my car because I don’t ride. We called the after-hours number, and the woman who answered had been working earlier that day. My partner asked what had happened, as anyone would, and explained that the bike had belonged to his late father. He’d only just received it after getting his bike licence a couple of years ago, nearly seven years after his father passed away. The woman who attended had an attitude and made a very rude comment, asking if he’d waited for his father to die so he could inherit the bike. It was an awful thing to say to someone upset about damage to a bike with that history. Service had been okay when we arrived, but that was where it ended. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

We only stayed one night, but it was a lovely visit. There’s a pool to enjoy, and it’s just a short drive into the city for food. The inn also offers local wine. In the room we had a comfortable bed with clean sheets and linens, towels, coffee, cold water, and cutlery. They’d even provided an iron and hair dryer, and the internet was quite fast. Highly recommend.

There’s plenty of space around the motel, so parking a van or camping trailer to unhook before going touring was no problem for me. The rooms are lovely, the staff friendly, and it’s close to Mudgee. If anything comes up, let the staff know, as they’d love to make your stay better if they can.

Nice and quiet, with plenty of parking and only minutes from the Mudgee CBD. The room was really nice, the beds very comfortable, and the staff friendly and helpful. It’s ideally located for checking out the local wineries. We can’t wait to revisit this beautiful area. Highly recommended.
