The bruschetta was hands-down the best I’ve ever had. My partner and I also ordered the chicken schnitzel and pork burger, and both were really tasty. Honestly, it was one of the best meals we’ve had in ages. The staff were welcoming and friendly. We called ahead, and they’d already set our table, which we really appreciated. The atmosphere was cosy, the service was quick, and we’ll definitely be back.

We loved sitting outside on the forecourt, looking out over the water and beach. It’s a lovely setting for a romantic meal, and we enjoyed everything about our stop at the Inn. The staff were great, friendly, and courteous, even when I accidentally dropped my meal. Thanks so much for superb service to visitors from Tassie!

It was nice to sit outside under cover and take in the view, and it’s good that the public can eat here. We stopped for dinner after a day exploring the Whale trail around Eden. Lovely location, good pub-quality food, decent prices, and a good choice.

The beachfront setting is beautiful, and it honestly feels like being on a secluded island. The rooms are lovely, and the hotel is excellent value. We’ve now stayed at Seahorse Inn twice, a year apart, and both visits had tasty food of consistently great quality. The staff have always been friendly, welcoming, and very accommodating. The beach had a magical feel. We wished we’d stayed here for the whole weekend instead of heading farther north and being disappointed. We’ll definitely be back.

The room mix-up spoiled what I’d been looking forward to. After a very long drive and a late arrival, we found we’d been moved from our designated room, even though we’d called twice to say we were on our way. No one answered the first call. We were put in the “Loft Room” instead. It had no balcony for breakfast and single beds instead of a King. We had to haul a heavy case up a very narrow staircase with a 180 degree bend, and the phone quick dials didn’t work. I suspect they moved us to rent out an accessible room. I’d never begrudge that, except the equivalent ground floor room was inexplicably empty. We were also disappointed that we couldn’t eat at the restaurant after seeing its menu. It closes at 8pm, which felt unaccommodating when another couple and we asked at 8:30. Reception had told us, “we get late check ins all the time”. Then a quite rude lady scolded me and gave a dismissive, superior laugh when she said I had to mark on the card whether breakfast was in the room or dining area. I’d just said we hadn’t filled it in. When I explained reception had done it, she asked why they would do that. How the bloody hell should I know? When she brought breakfast, my wife asked about us being in the wrong room. To be fair, that wasn’t the right person to ask, but she made things worse by insisting both were garden view rooms and we had a garden view. I hadn’t planned to complain, but had to point out she should just have told us to ask at reception, because she was completely wrong. Were we supposed to move furniture to get a view? That was the only option. The $40 refund felt quite inadequate for all that. The lady who gave it was responsible for the room stuff-up, but made it very clear she didn’t want to discuss it beyond a pre-emptive apology. Such indifferent, poor service led to this scathing review. I’ve left one star for the nice young lady who welcomed us.
