Platypus Park Country Retreat

The kids had plenty of room to play in the gardens, and there was a swing too. The views across the 40 acre property were lovely. It's a quiet place with a cosy cottage feel, and the staff and neighbours were friendly. The resident dog was a sweet addition and loved the children. Our cottage was quaint, warm and self contained, with laundry facilities. There was also a communal hall with a pool table for activities. Such a beautiful place to stay.

Gina was attentive and accommodating while giving us our space, and Sophie, the family dog, came to say hello on our deck. The gardens and orchard are expansive and lovely to wander around. We were there for a business trip, and the homely, cosy rooms suited us well. Electric blankets were a great touch, and having a dishwasher, washer and dryer made things easy. The kitchen was well equipped for self catering, and Bridport’s shops and eateries were only a couple of minutes away by car. Thanks for looking after us. We'd definitely stay again if we're in the area.

The dogs smelled us cooking breakfast and came over hoping to join us, so I had to get a picture, they were so cute. We loved staying in the 'Lavender Cottage'. It was clean and had everything we needed for cooking and cleaning, plus a washing machine and dryer. Bridport's main street was just a couple of minutes away, and the location was fantastic. The breakfast hamper was lovely, especially the fresh orange juice. Thanks, Gina, for making our stay feel special.

We were sorry we couldn't stay longer. The accommodation was cosy and meticulously clean, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. The hosts were lovely. Thank you for a memorable stay, and a big hello to Sophie.
