Susan was very helpful and gave excellent customer service. Mel, the manager, was fantastic at reception and interacted well with people, and Dimity was lovely and easy-going. The rooms are very clean, and I truly enjoyed my stay.

I’m still awake at 1 a.m. because the noise is constant. Loud cars and heavy bass outside keep shaking the room, and the thin walls and big gaps around the windows do little to keep out either sound or the cold. Parking is another headache. There aren’t enough spaces, and if you do get one, you may think twice about going out in case there’s nowhere to park when you return. It’s been a frustrating stay, with no chance of a quiet night’s sleep.

The location is the one good thing. Our room was dirty, with a previous guest’s belongings still in the shower, so it clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly. When we raised it, staff didn’t apologize, and they were just as unapologetic at checkout. Don’t look under the beds or sink unless you want to regret it.

The rooms are a good size, the staff are friendly, and being close to the city centre is a real plus. You can even buy SIM cards on the hotel’s first floor, which I wish I’d known about sooner. I’d seen plenty of negative reviews, but the price is very reasonable, so it’s best not to expect too much. If you don’t need breakfast, it works well. I’m staying here before my flight tomorrow, and so far I think it’s excellent.

The beds are big and comfortable, and there’s plenty of room. The rooms are older, but I’m happy with the stay. The soap in the bathroom, though, is disgusting. It smells stale and horrible, like used underwear, and I don’t want to come out of the shower smelling worse than when I went in.
