The river through the campground seemed to be the main draw in the mid-summer heat. People sat, lay or played in the cool water. There were lots of young families, bikes being ridden around the camp and dogs being walked. Mystic MTB Park is about a kilometre away, and plenty of people seemed to ride there and back. Nights were respectfully quiet after 9pm. The coffee cart was very busy in the morning. I didn't try the pool, but my cycling partner said it was good. We came for an Audax road cycling event and camped Friday and Saturday in mid-January 2026, booking at short notice. The location is great, only a few hundred metres from Bright's main shopping area, with walking paths to get there. Express check-in was good, although the boom gate took several minutes to work. Finding our unpowered site was difficult because the site numbers were almost nonexistent. I had to study the map closely to work out which one we'd booked. Site 171 was mostly dirt and very dusty. It only just fit my 6.5m campervan and a tent. The big oak gave nice shade, and the site was in front of an amenities block. The separate toilet and shower blocks were very average and not particularly clean. There was faeces smeared on a toilet lid for several days. No shower curtains meant water went everywhere in the cubicles. The amenities laundry had two troughs, but was basically being used for dishes and charging devices. The sites around us looked very small and cramped, with little space between them. From what I could see, the riverside sites were the smallest. I'd call the park just satisfactory, but wouldn't return. I've stayed at many campgrounds and this one wasn't up to scratch. The sites could be more appealing with grass, and the amenities block needs an upgrade.

We've been coming to this park for years because of its fantastic location. This visit, I was struck by how friendly the staff were compared with previous years, which we appreciated. But the toilet block and camp kitchen in front of the office need attention. After seeing other nearby parks, I felt I had to mention it. Could management check the ladies' showers? There is mould on the tiles and the vents above the showers need looking at. Has the air conditioning ever been serviced? I reported a loose screw on the shower squeegee because it falls apart when you clean the floor, but nothing happened. The children's bathroom also needs attention. At busy times, having just one washing machine in that block isn't enough. On very hot days we use the camp kitchen to cool off and enjoy watching the tennis, but nobody could get free TV on the set. We ended up listening to the game machines, which I'm sure parents don't want in the park. I hope this helps improve things for long-term and new visitors alike.

Ashleigh welcomed us so warmly and suggested places to visit. The leafy park is beautiful, with a lovely creek running through it, and campfires are allowed. They add a special atmosphere and make the stay feel magical. Bright is a fantastic town too, with great cafes, stunning scenery and plenty to do. We had a fantastic stay at NRMA Bright Caravan Park and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

The location was great, right by the shops and river, and the facilities were clean. But I booked a powered tent site and the one we got had no grass at all. It was covered in sharp gravel, with wind blowing dust everywhere. I gave up on that spot and pitched on the grass beside my friend's caravan site instead. Otherwise the tent floor would have been shredded.

The river outlook and lovely trees are a big part of why I've been coming here for years. But the lack of grass across the sites leaves the bathrooms muddy, and this year the camp kitchen TV had disappeared. We love watching the AO there, so that was disappointing. Maintenance hasn't been a priority. Most of the toilets in our block were missing flush buttons, and only one soap dispenser worked. These are easy fixes, but the same problems carry on year after year.
