The Odd Frog

Odd Frog was such a peaceful, clean place to stay, and booking was easy. Our hosts answered questions quickly, and town is only a short walk away. We accidentally left a few things in the room, but they found them and posted them back without any trouble. Thanks, James & Kylie, for a lovely visit. Mick & Kelly are already looking forward to coming back.

We spent three nights at The Odd Frog and loved how quiet and scenic it felt, with mountains and trees all around. From Studio 2's balcony, the sky turns red at sunrise, and the views stay lovely through sunset. Kangaroos wandered around the lush bushland during the day, and Huggins Lookout is an easy short walk for sunrise. Inside, the studio had great amenities. The fireplace made it cosy, the spa and shower were wonderful, and the locally supplied diffusers gave the room a relaxing scent. It was an unforgettable getaway, and we’d recommend it to anyone after a peaceful, beautiful place.

Four days at the Odd Frog were blissful. The cabins have a lovely feel, and sitting on the balcony looking out across the high country helped quiet my busy mind. Kylie & James were kind enough to help carry my bags up the steps. The Mitsubishi split system kept me warm on a chilly morning and cooled things down when I needed it on a 30c day. I didn't need the wood fired. Those sunny blue-sky days and crisp nights were perfect for sleeping. The bed was so cosy and comfortable that I had the best sleep in months, and I even preferred their pillow to the one I brought. I liked the louvre windows too, they gave it a bit of a glamping feel, and I could close the ones nearest me when the night turned cold. Can't think of anything they could have done better. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

We usually hike and camp, but our three-night treat in cabin four was a delight. The bush views both uphill and downhill were glorious, and everything was thoughtfully set up and kept spotless, windows included. The place combines peace and quiet with the convenience of an easy walk into Bright, just as described. James and Kylie were lovely and accommodating when they posted an item I’d left behind. We can't wait to return.
