We met some lovely, welcoming, easygoing people at the holiday village. Some were there for the first time, while others make it an annual trip. We have fond memories of our week in Bright in February and really enjoyed our stay. The units are a good size, and the location makes it easy to walk to the shops, park and creek while still being away from the busy centre. Cycling enthusiasts can access the rail trail from the village. There’s also a lovely pool and a communal outdoor kitchen and dining area. Hopefully we’ll be back soon.

We rented two homes, and both were comfortable. The larger one had four bedrooms and a backyard entertainers’ retreat with table tennis and a pool table; the other had two bedrooms. The shared pool was a bonus on the hot days we were there. It’s close to town, and we’d definitely recommend staying here and come back ourselves.

We loved the pool and barbecue area, and the house was clean and really nice. Just a heads-up for anyone parking: I’m usually a good driver, but I caught the front of my car on the rocks around the driveway while reversing into a space. Silly me! :)

We visit Bright every year, and Silver Birches had all the facilities we could have hoped for. The unit was wonderful, the location was great, and Alpine Getaways gave us remarkable service and attention. Many thanks, you’ll see us again next year.

The location was perfect, and I imagine the house would have been lovely in its day. But it lacked care and was dirty, with thick dust especially behind the bed and bedside tables. The bathroom cupboards had severe water damage, and there was black mould in the showers. The bedding smelled dirty, and there was hair all through the pillows. This definitely wasn’t luxury. The games room walls were dirty and had holes, and there was no dartboard. If the place were kept in better condition, I’d come back, but unfortunately it was one of the worst places we’ve stayed.
