Banana Bender Backpackers

The desk girl was cool, and the washrooms were okay. Still, I left in the middle of the night. My private room had wall stains, dust and dirt across the floor, and even ants. Sound carried easily between the rooms, and something beeped all night. One of the worst hostels I’ve stayed in, and not worth it even if you’re trying to save money.

The owners, a genuinely warm and kind couple, made the place feel special. We felt looked after from the moment we arrived, and everything ran smoothly. The rooms were spotless and the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. A really heartwarming stay.

Banana Backpackers is small and right in the center, with good value for the money. It’s a nice place to meet people, and the staff are very friendly. Everything you need for a hostel stay is here, including clean spaces and excellent air conditioning.

The location is the best part, with the city an easy walk from the hostel. It’s a really nice place, though some of the showers weren’t working properly, which is why I’m giving it four stars.
