Brisbane Holiday Village

We spent nine nights here and really enjoyed the peaceful feel of the park, especially its beautiful gardens. We had a powered caravan site among palm trees and subtropical greenery, with lush lawns. The modern amenities were spotless, there were plenty of laundry facilities and large washing lines nearby, and the pool was clean and well maintained. We chose this caravan park and holiday village because we needed to be near Brisbane CBD and the reviews were excellent. It's 1.2km from Westfield Mount Gravatt, previously known as Garden City, and bus stops are just outside the entrance. It's close to a main road, but still quite peaceful. Highly recommend it.

The showers were fantastic, with walk-in stalls and an internal glass door that kept the floor and my clothes dry when I got out. It was also close to Brisbane CBD, and an Uber to the restaurant for my friend's birthday cost $25. I stayed at the non powered campsite in my off-grid camper van and absolutely loved how quiet and peaceful it was. The grass was so green I could walk barefoot, and the trees were beautiful. The simple things were easy here. I'll definitely go again.

For what we paid, I expected better, and I wouldn't stay here again. The site was cramped and noisy, with almost no privacy from neighbouring sites. When we raised issues, staff didn't seem to make much effort to address them. The service felt average and we didn't feel welcomed, more like just another number. The photos online made Brisbane Holiday Village look good, but the reality didn't live up to them. The facilities felt run down and weren't as clean as they should be for a holiday park charging premium prices. The amenities blocks needed a proper clean and some maintenance. Other caravan parks around Brisbane and the Gold Coast offer better value and cleaner facilities.

We stayed eight nights during peak season and worried the resort might feel too crowded when fully booked, but we actually had a really enjoyable time. The Vogue cabins are spacious, and having the deck face the back made it private. The location is great, near a large mall and smaller local shops, with easy freeway access. We'd definitely return. The facilities are great for a cabin stay, and I loved having multiple laundries, though $6 per 30-minute load felt a bit expensive. A few small changes, like curtains that cover the whole windows, could improve the value. I also wish people wouldn't smoke around the pool, though I understand that's tricky for staff to manage.
