Bell made our day. The staff are friendly and always happy to have a chat, and the sports lounge big screens are great for watching a game. Camp Hill hotel has the best vibes. It wasn’t my regular spot before, but it will be now!

We stayed for four nights and it was quiet and very secure, with plenty of parking. The bistro was packed on Wednesday night. There’s a bus stop across the road for getting into the city. Our room was cleaned daily, with fresh towels, two bottles of water, milk, tea and coffee facilities, and a nice fridge. There was also a basin in the room for washing your face and brushing your teeth. The bathrooms are shared, but I hardly saw anyone in the women’s bathroom. It had three showers and three toilets, and I never had to wait.

A quick chat with Justin while he poured my beer genuinely brightened my day. He’s great at engaging with people and kept the conversation positive, exactly the kind of touch you want from a bartender. I was already coming to Camp Hill Hotel for tasty drinks and food after the renovations, but that service went above and beyond. 10/10, I’ll be back very soon.

The meals in the dining area were first rate, and they brought them out efficiently and on time. You can also have meals delivered to your room, and the complimentary drink was a welcome touch. My room looked across Camp Hill towards the Gateway Bridge, thanks to the hotel’s elevated position. The rooms have been renovated and, although the showers are shared, the beds are very comfortable for a good night’s sleep.
