Poor value for money, and so noisy. Calling the location great is like saying a house built on a runway is handy for the airport. There are two heliports at the hospitals next door, and aircraft woke us several times between about 2 and 4am. A motorway and roughly three major arterial roads are nearby too, so the building is surrounded by busy roads. It's so old there's no sound insulation. The older man next door came home drunk at 2am and kept waking us while watching TV through paper-thin walls. The windows made no difference to the outside noise, whether open or closed.

A balcony and good shower pressure were nice touches. The room was a pleasant surprise compared with other hotels I've tried, especially for the price and location. No complaints.

We keep coming back for the location, pool and gym, and the common areas are always clean and tidy. The cleaner is friendly and always smiling. This time we had room 306 on the third floor, and it was disappointing. It needs a major renovation: the shower is small and constantly drips, the toilet runs internally, and the cabinetry, tiling and carpet are all coming apart and need immediate attention. The view facing the CBD was excellent, and the bed was comfortable. My partner booked it through Airbnb.

The studio was spacious and very clean, with a huge bed that felt like a fluffy cloud. It also had a little balcony, a kitchenette with a fridge and microwave, a dining table and a TV. The shower had great pressure and a perfect temperature, maybe one of the best we've had in Australia. The roomy pool area has seating, and South Bank is about a 10-minute trip away. Our only small gripe was having nowhere to store luggage, so we couldn't leave our bags all day after checking out. We'd absolutely stay again.
