Mt Nebo Railway Carriage and Chalet

The railway carriage is stunning, beautifully restored, and the scenery around it is lovely. We had a great time bird watching, too. Glenn and Renee have a magical, one-of-a-kind spot up on the mountain. It’s an unbelievable little getaway and a perfect place to relax. We’ll recommend it to anyone. Thanks heaps, we’ll be back.

The grounds are gorgeous, quiet, and really peaceful. We spent two nights here and loved the unique railway carriage. It was set up to feel like it did back in the day, which was fabulous. The bed was comfortable and it had everything we needed for a short stay. I’d happily stay again.

There’s a chorus of birdsong across the immaculately kept grounds, and the whole place feels peaceful and restorative. Renee and Glenn have clearly put a lot of care and pride into the details. We stayed in the 100-year-old Railway Carriage, just a short drive from Brisbane, and it felt like stepping into another world. It’s been beautifully restored, with modern comforts alongside the character of the original. Railway memorabilia covers the walls, and we enjoyed spotting the clever sculptures and fittings made from railway spikes, each a little surprise. A special place to unwind. If you’re visiting the Mt Nebo or Mt Glorious area, it’s well worth experiencing.

We loved the amount of birdlife and being surrounded by nature. The railway carriage is beautiful, peaceful, and full of thoughtful details that make each room feel special. The bed was incredibly comfortable, too. Glenn and Renee were fantastic hosts and have made this a lovely place to stay. Their friendly dog Ollie was a welcome extra and made us feel even more at home. Highly recommend!
