Chasely Apartment Hotel

After a 15-hour drive from Wagga Wagga, we booked a room through booking.com at $260 a night. The money was taken from our bank straight away, then we were told the booking had failed because the room was no longer available. We’d have to wait 7-12 days for a refund. We went to the hotel to talk to someone in person and found another group had had exactly the same thing happen. The receptionists barely seemed willing to help and just said it wasn’t their problem. The website still says the room is available, and now it’s cheaper. From the front office and the way it looked, it didn’t seem worth staying. It looked filthy and like a scam. Do not stay here.

The front desk girl was awesome and very helpful, and the room was better than I expected, though a bit dated. I stayed a few weeks ago for Metallica and wasn’t too pleased. My main concern was the onsite guy, who seemed a little drunk. I’m not sure, but if he’s meant to be the onsite go-to person, that doesn’t seem professional and I think it should be looked into. It’s a liability.

The bed and pillows were really comfortable, the shower was good, and there was plenty of hot water. The room had a stove, microwave, full-sized fridge, a couch, and two lounge chairs. The TV was lacking, I couldn’t get ABC. The rooms are three-star for sure, but it did the job we needed at a very affordable price compared to other options. The bloke at the front desk was very helpful. For somewhere cheap and cheerful with self-catering, this is a good choice. I’d come back.

Kim and Eliza were so understanding and accommodating when things took an unfortunate turn, and they made it much easier for us. The building is dated, which is reflected in the price, but the staff make the Chasely apartments a five-star stay. We’ll be back for future appointments at the Wesley.
