Everton Park Hotel

My sister saw the outdoor setup on TikTok and said we had to hold my celebration here. She was right. The lawn area and atmosphere were amazing, and the food was great. We had a large semi-private spot on the lawn where guests could mingle, and there was lots of room for the kids too. Thanks to Alana and the staff for being so accommodating over the weekend. My family and I really appreciate it.

The kids' area and the outdoor space are real drawcards, but the place isn't making the most of them yet. Staff could use a bit of training: I saw one wipe blood from a ride after a nosebleed instead of cleaning it properly, and another asked to wipe our table because it was still dirty from the previous guests. The food was average, neither good nor bad, and I enjoy a servo meat pie and choccie milk. The place has great potential, but the menu could use something different from the standard pubs around here.

The new playground is fantastic, but lots of kids were running around unsupervised. Even with me in the playground with my children, they were shoved and bitten, and I couldn't see a parent for the child who bit one of them. The bar had two staff on a reasonably quiet night, yet they struggled to serve five customers. The food was horrible. My parmi was overcooked, and my dad's linguini was flavourless with just three prawns. For a prawn linguini costing $36, I expected more. The carrots on the kids' platter were old and stale, and the cheese was mouldy. I told the staff, who replied, “Oh, I’m terribly sorry.” Those three items cost $90, which seemed a lot for food that wasn't edible. We came for dinner and to let the kids run off steam, but I'd recommend taking them somewhere else.

The room was fantastic, with everything I needed and more, and the staff gave absolutely amazing service. There was plenty to choose from on the menu, and the food was excellent. I'd definitely stay here again if I'm back this way. Cheers, Kenny Mac.
