This was the worst apartment complex I've lived in during my ten years in Brisbane, both for management and for the facilities that were advertised. I hate leaving a negative review, but I found the company's behaviour deceptive. People may sign a lease without knowing what the building is really like, then find themselves locked in until it's too late. The rent is outrageous when the advertised facilities don't work as described. The supposedly secure garage was a joke. Both doors were often broken, leaving it open to theft. Bikes were stolen from the supposedly secure racks twice, and because the garage wasn't secure, my car insurance no longer considered it a locked secure garage. Calling the building secure was simply false. Lifts broke every couple of months, always on weekends, leaving more than 200 residents waiting 15-20 minutes to get up or down. Garbage chutes were often out of order, and pipes rattled through the night so badly that I called the building plumber three or four times. There were plenty of other problems too. Management was relentless with pointless blast emails to every tenant, two or three a week for over a year and a half, around 200 or more in total. They gave orders about balcony closures, cleaning, lift use, pavement cleaning and not throwing away large rubbish items, among other things. I asked several times to be removed from the list, but they ignored me. There was no unsubscribe option or way to opt out. It felt like harassment. I also saw management speak down to international students constantly. I owned a nearby business and knew many tenants personally, so I saw this firsthand. It was completely unprofessional and close to bullying. I tried several times to raise these problems and get them fixed. I was quite impressed with a manager who always seemed to try her best, but there was no compromise at all. I wish someone had posted this before I moved in, so I could have known and chosen somewhere else. Save yourself the stress and avoid this place at all costs. These may be first-world problems, but the company running the building is deceptive and advertises amenities that aren't delivered. I can't accept that when tenants are charged such a high rent. I've never been so appalled while renting a property.
