Park Regis North Quay

The rooms are a little dated, but the location is great and it’s really convenient. I’d stay here again for that alone. The young woman at the front desk was amazing and very helpful. She gave us good breakfast suggestions and tips on areas to check out. I didn’t catch her name, but she said she was Canadian after I mistakenly thought she was American. Sorry! She gave us great customer service.

Suncorp Stadium and Southbank are both easy to reach on foot from here, and the trains are close too. The staff were exceptionally helpful.

I loved the view, and the staff member who warmed up my meal was lovely. There are no microwaves in the Queen and Twin studio rooms, though. The hotel and long-term resident setup is an unusual mix, and the location gets very quiet after office hours. Walking back from the city centre on Sunday afternoon left me feeling uneasy. My main issue was the air-conditioning in Room 206. Its bench-height vent and unclear controls barely cooled the room, while making a lot of noise and giving off a mouldy smell. There was no fresh-air option. I understand why windows 20 floors up may not open wide, but even a small opening would have helped. I had to ask for a pedestal fan. With the chance of getting a room with inadequate, musty air-conditioning, I can't honestly recommend staying here.

That Sky Deck breakfast was the best, with amazing views and an affordable price. The location worked perfectly for walking, and public transport costs just 50 cents to anywhere, including the river boat. Nga mihi Brisbane. We only needed somewhere affordable to sleep, so the place was nice enough, even if it isn't flashy. It hadn't been mopped when we arrived, but the manager, who doesn't live on site, arranged an immediate clean and was really great. No disrespect to her at all. The staff in the complex were lovely too.
