I accidentally booked the wrong month through expedia.com, 15 - 18 June instead of May. The website said there was no refund for booking changes or cancellations, so I panicked and called the motel. Mark was absolutely brilliant. I explained my mistake, and he assured me it’d all be fine and I should come as planned, no problem. When I arrived, he gave me the key. The room was cool, clean and very comfortable, just what I needed after the long drive from Mildura. I can’t thank Mark enough for being so understanding and hospitable.

The staff were lovely and seemed obliging and hospitable. I expected the place to be dated, but the cleaning standards were hard to excuse and left a lot to be desired. I’d have loved to give a great review. I won’t attach photos. I’m sure they can improve things, as it was a busy week for them.

We had a nice time in Broken Hill and met some lovely travellers, though the room itself was pretty average. The bed was comfortable and the kitchenette worked well for us, but the four-night stay also came with a few maintenance issues. The windowless “cubby house” bedroom really needs a ceiling fan, and there was just one chair for the table, so another would help.

The room was clean and comfortable, with amenities close by. What really stayed with me was Karlee's kindness. She went above and beyond to help me, and I'll never forget it. I really appreciated the staff and would definitely recommend staying here if you're passing through and need a break.
