The bedroom felt a little cramped, and there’s no sink in the kitchenette, so we filled the kettle and bottles in the bathroom. Neither bothered us much. The room was clean and tidy, with a spacious bathroom, and the electronic swipe fob was easier to use than a regular key. It’s pet-friendly, affordable, and close to the town centre, with what we needed for a comfortable stay. Reception wasn’t staffed when we arrived mid-afternoon, but a clearly posted phone number gave us simple check-in instructions. There may be more luxurious places in Broken Hill, but we thought this was excellent value for the price and would happily return.

I've stayed here twice and was impressed on both visits. The rooms are big and very clean, the location is great, and the price is fair. Staff are friendly and helpful. I'd absolutely recommend it.

The on-site restaurant and pool were a welcome bonus, and the location made it easy to get to shops and local attractions. At Desert Sand Motor Inn, we also found the rooms spacious, clean, and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout our visit. One of the better places to stay in Broken Hill, and I'd happily recommend it.

We could walk to everything from this spot so close to the town centre, and the pool area was a nice place to relax. Our room was extremely clean and nicely presented. The ladies who checked us in were fantastic. A huge thank you to them.

There was no exhaust fan, and the room had old-looking timber. The fridge sat beside the bathroom door. Compared with another room, this one had a small TV, and it could use more power points by the bench.
