I worked comfortably from the cottage for three days using their wifi, and loved the styling. It's a great little place, neat and very clean, with heating and cooling. The kitchen has all the basics you might need.

We needed somewhere to stay in Broken Hill after our driver became ill in Wilcannia and was flown over by RFDS. We asked to check in early at Maeville Cottage, and only later realised we couldn't have been any closer to the hospital. The home felt like going home, and was so clean and comfortable. I'd recommend it to anyone.

Maeville cottage no longer offers short-term holiday rentals. I'm sorry you were messed around. We've done everything we can to remove the listings and cancel all booking sites. Please contact us and let us know how you booked so we can make sure this doesn't happen to anyone else. Thanks, Ben.

Don't bother looking here. You can book and pay, get a reservation number weeks ahead, then receive an urgent message two days before your stay saying they won't honor the reservation. By then, everything else is booked. Do they care about your family holiday, or would they rather take more money from people with deeper pockets once they see the chance? What do you call that kind of business? Hospitality, I think of worse words.

We were glad we picked it for our three-day reunion. Great value, and there were lots of simple heaters because Broken Hill was cold while we were there.
