Bunbury Apartment Motel

Apart from the lack of power points near the bed in my room, I really can’t fault the place. A bit odd in 2026. Staff were polite, the room was clean, the shower had great pressure, and there was heaps of parking. It’s a nice spot to rest your head.

The first two times I stayed here, I was impressed: the rooms were modern, spacious and clean, with a separate bedroom, a kitchen and living area, a combined bathroom and toilet, and plenty of crockery and utensils. There was a kitchen sink too. My third stay was a different story. I was put in an older, much smaller ground-floor room with no separate bedroom or kitchen sink, so I had to use the bathroom tap to fill the kettle and wash dishes. The separate toilet was partly blocked, with water sitting halfway up the bowl. The shower itself was spacious, with good pressure and temperature. There were little cockroaches in the cupboard when I checked what was supplied. That night I woke up to a large one crawling on me, and barely slept after that. In the morning, more were running across the bathroom bench. Both rooms cost the same, and this has put me off staying again. I gave three stars as an average: four for the first two rooms, one for the third.

The pool was clean, though it isn’t heated, and parking was easy. We stayed overnight in a two-bedroom apartment for up to four people. It was tidy and clean, with a modern bathroom and shower, fresh towels, and a clean carpet. The kitchen had a clean gas stove and the utensils we needed. Wi-Fi was strong and there was a smart TV.

The staff were very accommodating when I came with my friend and her seeing-eye dog. The twin apartment worked perfectly for the three of us. We’ve already booked another stay for January. Great place!
