Discovery Parks - Bunbury Foreshore

The site is beautifully laid out, well looked after, and in a great spot. It has a lot of potential, which makes the state of the shared bathrooms such a shame. The showers and toilets were dirty every time I saw them, and they looked the same when I arrived. The cleaning schedule suggests staff spend about 20 minutes at most on three showers and four toilets. That doesn't seem enough for a proper clean. With strangers sharing the facilities, a thorough clean at least once a day is a fair expectation.

We stayed in one of the new deluxe cabins, which was very clean and well equipped. There was room to park up to four standard cars underneath. The park also has powered and ensuite sites, and the long term residents were friendly to those of us passing through. There’s plenty to do, with a games room, lots of BBQs, three pools, a jumping pillow, a half court basketball area, and a bike track. The location is handy too, within walking distance of beaches, shops, cafes, restaurants, and the Dolphin Discovery Centre. We’d definitely come back and recommend it.

The cabin was clean and comfortable, with basic amenities and free parking, and the price was reasonable. It’s a short drive from the city centre, with a water park and playground for kids nearby. The Dolphin Discovery Centre is an easy walk away, and the accommodation offers a discount code. Getting around the park was tricky, though, even with the map. Some lanes are so narrow that it’s easy to miss them. Decent place for a night, which is how long we stayed in early December.

The foreshore walking area is lovely, and the park has useful facilities for families: laundry, a well stocked store, playgrounds, and BBQ areas. We were very happy with our pet friendly cabin too. It was immaculate, with tea and coffee, fresh milk, and extremely comfortable beds. We had to stay at Discovery Parks – Bunbury Foreshore for one night because of unforeseen circumstances. We arrived very late, but the receptionist had left clear lockbox instructions, which made a stressful arrival much easier. We asked about staying an extra night the next morning, but a prior booking meant that wasn’t possible. The receptionist kindly arranged a late checkout instead, which we really appreciated. We enjoyed it enough to want to come back. We’d highly recommend Discovery Parks – Bunbury Foreshore.
