Discovery Parks - Bunbury Village

The kids’ activities on site were a real help for using up the last of their energy for the day. We felt at home in the village, and enjoyed meeting the locals. Everyone on staff was friendly, and the toilets and kitchens were clean and well cared for. We’ll definitely be back.

The pool was nice, and everyone we met was lovely. Still, with so many permanent caravans and cabins, we felt like strangers in a close knit community. The place seemed very empty even though online there were no cabins left to book. It seems much better set up for campers and caravans than cabin guests. A cheap clothes airer in the cabin would help: there was nowhere to dry wet towels and bathers. The clotheslines had no pegs nearby, so towels were manageable but baby clothes we’d washed or gotten wet couldn’t be hung up. In the afternoon, sprinklers soaked the main lawn, so the kids couldn’t play there. It was windy too, and the water blew onto our already hard to dry laundry. The upstairs room in the cabin had no door, so our four year old kept coming downstairs to join us while we watched TV. This would probably suit families with older kids better.

The little go kart things were so much fun, and there were camels you could ride while we were there, which was pretty unique for a campsite haha. We stayed in one of the triangle cabins a few months ago. It was surprisingly spacious and could easily have fit four people, or five if someone used the very comfy pull out couch. Such a lovely place to stay. I’d definitely recommend it to friends and family.

We only had one night in an A Frame, but wished we could have stayed much longer. It was spotless and the beds were so comfortable. Our area seemed to be for adults and was really quiet. We could see kids playing in the playground, but couldn’t hear them from our spot. I’d recommend the park to anyone after a clean, comfortable stay.
