I first planned to stay in one of the permanent on-site vans with an attached annex for six months, after moving to Bundy, while I looked for a small place where I could live with my cats. That was two years ago, and I’m still here. I fell for the park, its atmosphere, and the people, and have met some amazing permanent residents and visitors. The staff are all great and keep the park clean, maintained, and welcoming. It’s well located, with shopping centres just a stone’s throw away and beaches a little over half an hour away.

We were impressed by how much value we got when we stayed at Bundaberg Park Village in December. The recent renovations, with brand new amenities, clean facilities, and a secure, well-kept park, feel more premium than the price suggests. Staff were welcoming, the sites were a good size, and the pet-friendly setup worked perfectly for travelling families. It exceeded our expectations for the price. The park is close to Bundaberg Rum Distillery, local shops, and beaches, so it’s a budget-friendly base for seeing the region without giving up comfort.

From arrival to departure, this was a negative experience. We couldn’t get our key, and you couldn’t see or walk into the office. In the cabin’s second bedroom, I found a child’s shoe in the wardrobe and blood on the tracks, and it hadn’t been cleaned up during our two nights. With the shower fully turned on, only a drizzle came out. The bathroom and kitchen curtains were filthy, with big rips and holes. The lounge was low and hard, and the TV was near the ceiling, making it very uncomfortable to watch. There were no instructions, and when I called for help, I got an answering machine. They called back 13 hours later. I told the woman about all the complaints, and she said I could make an appointment to see the manager. That wasn’t good enough. At $134 a night, we considered cancelling the second night, but it was almost impossible to contact the manager. The reviews said the place was clean and staff friendly. What staff? I have photos, but can’t seem to post them.

We’ve just finished three days in bungalo 10 and enjoyed our stay. We were glad our dog was welcome, and have no complaints about the room, though the bed was a bit hard. No mini bar, but the complimentary potatoes and peeler were an interesting touch, ha ha. Happy to stay again, thanks.

For one night with two mates, the single room worked well: one queen bed and two bunk beds. We slept well, the air con got nice and cold, and there was a fridge, table and chairs, TV, and microwave. The shower and toilet were clean too. I’d recommend it for a one-night stay.
