We spent a week at Seaview and loved it. The cottage looked out across to Philip island, with a spectacular view. The Sirius bar and bottle shop were really good, and Paul, the hotel manager, was friendly and obliging.

It's very good mid-level accommodation, and they have things well organised for arrivals coming off the plane. The cellar and bottle shop are considered the best on the island.

The hotel is very tired and needs some TLC. My room smelled musty, had a leaking toilet, and no air conditioning. There was a stand fan, though. The pool has apparently been filled in, so there's no pool on site, and there was no catering available. The in-room internet was sporadic, so I had to go up to reception for access. I didn't see the owner outside the times listed on the notice board.

Greg was an amazing host, arranging hire cars and any tours we needed, and sharing his excellent knowledge. The rooms were clean and updated, with very comfortable beds. There's plenty of space, a large breakfast room, and a beautiful verandah overlooking Norfolk Pine green pastures, the sea, and Phillip Island. The pool area and gardens were lovely too. The hotel's traditional Norfolk Island architecture is stunning, and the thought and taste put into the place are clear. It's in the best position on Norfolk Island, with the best view. There's also a great wine shop with the best prices.
