Crown Metropol Perth

We spent just under $1,800 for three nights in a Luxe View room on the fourth floor of ten, in February 2026. No breakfast or parking was included, daily maid service wasn’t available, and we couldn’t even get complimentary water in the room. When we asked, we were told, “oh you don’t get them on that floor!” The air-con seemed centrally controlled and only brought the room down to 23.9 degrees. We asked about it and got no response. Completely useless, with zero customer empathy or focus. The minibar had small, aircraft-style bottles priced at $5.50, which we didn’t drink at that price. On day two, we raised the water issue with the duty manager. They sent up two small bottles and said we could have them again on day three. After calling guest services twice on day three, those bottles never arrived. A few hours after checkout, we got a revised invoice and, to our horror, had been charged $11.00 for the two bottles sent to the room. I sent an official complaint during our stay, and three weeks later there’s still no response. Don’t waste your money on this rapidly declining hotel. Our 25th wedding anniversary was wasted at this ‘smoke and mirrors’ hotel.

The rooms and bedding were fantastic. They weren’t serviced unless you stayed three nights, though. We had a deal that included a bottle of fizz in the room, but had to ask for it.

Our suite upgrade made the stay feel extra special. At check-in, Shambhu was warm, welcoming, and professional, and kindly surprised us with the complimentary upgrade. The room was huge and gorgeous, beyond what we expected. We loved every moment and really appreciate Shambhu’s kindness and outstanding service. It made such a difference and gave us a wonderful chance to relax and recharge ✨

We had a very enjoyable three-night stay at Metropol in an entry-level Deluxe King Room. The weather was perfect for spending a couple of days by the pool. The water felt brisk at first, then pleasant soon after. We didn’t order food or drinks there, so can’t comment on those. The bed was comfy, with a good choice of pillows, and the robe was fluffy. The slippers were comfortable, though swimming made them thin. We had a separate bath and shower, and the room was clean when we arrived. Staff were friendly and welcoming whenever we saw them. We ordered a dessert through in-room dining, which we enjoyed, though it wasn’t cheap, as in-room dining rarely is. We went to restaurants for our meals. At this price, I’d expect lotion in the room and housekeeping at least on the second day. We didn’t mind that there was no housekeeping until day three, but it seems reasonable to expect. There was no balcony or way to open the windows for fresh air, and we were told there’s no turndown service, despite it being listed on the website. We’d come back for another staycation.
