Bayview Geographe Resort

The staff were very friendly, but the room could have been cleaned better. There was conditioner left on the shower door and floor, and dirt or mud on the living area floor. Both internal doors between our room and the next villa were unlocked, and we had to ask twice to get that sorted. There were no blankets in the cupboards, though there should be some by default in cooler months. The air conditioner's heat setting was unreliable: it heated the room nicely when we arrived, but seemed to stop heating after I lowered the temperature. Could have been user error.

We stayed in a huge executive villa, almost like having a private beach at the resort. The heated pool was fun, as were the tennis courts and mini golf for kids. I missed having an oven or dishwasher in the room, but otherwise it was perfect. A fantastic resort for a quick break from city life in Perth.

The clean linen, comfy bed, air conditioning, and great shower pressure made each night comfortable after busy days travelling around the south West. Staff were cheerful, polite, and helpful with all our questions. We had a couple of minor hiccups, with the Wi-Fi not working and no ice tray in the fridge, but both were fixed before the day was over. We wondered why there wasn't a restaurant on site, but were happy to walk next door to Tonic by the Bay and visit a few other Busso cafes and restaurants during our stay. What a lovely time of year to visit Busso! We look forward to coming back to Busselton soon, and hopefully getting a chalet nearer the ocean.

For AUD 340 for one night, this was disappointing from the start. Check-in felt unfriendly and unwelcoming. The room was in terrible condition, with worn-out furniture, damage, and peeling paint everywhere. It was unpleasant to touch anything. We have photos of the room and furniture if needed. The whole property seems outdated and poorly maintained, as if it hasn't been renovated or properly cared for in a long time. For several hours, strong food smells came from the neighbouring room. The Wi-Fi kept dropping every few minutes and was practically unusable. Mobile reception didn't work with Vodafone or Optus either. We'd spent 11 days in Accor hotels with the same devices and had no connectivity problems. The quality and service were unacceptable for that price. The stay didn't meet even basic expectations, and we wouldn't choose this accommodation again.
