The kids were busy the whole time, especially in the sports shed, which kept them occupied for hours. We also loved the pizzas, a hit with everyone. Our family camping trip at Ferns Hideaway was peaceful and secluded, and the location is beautiful. Facilities were immaculate, and those hot showers felt wonderful after long days outside. The staff made us feel welcome and went out of their way to accommodate us. We left happy and relaxed, already thinking about another visit. Highly recommend for a clean, fun camping getaway with family.

Our campsite was mostly dusty, ashy ground, so things got messy, and the overflowing bins smelled. The amenities were clean on the first day, but not after that. Still, the facilities were good otherwise, and we enjoyed the weekend. The river was lovely, and we had a great time canoeing.

We were fitted in even though the place was packed, and the woman who helped us, I think her name was Anna, was incredibly helpful all afternoon. Beautiful service and walking tracks. An incredible stay!

The cabins have a lovely rustic feel, and there was lots to keep the kids occupied. I first came to Ferns as a child, so it was really special to bring my own kids and make memories there too. We were celebrating a friend’s 40th with a dinner for 20+ people, and couldn’t fault the facilities or service.

Bring food if you’re staying midweek, since the restaurant is only open Friday and Saturday. Mozzie spray is a good idea too. We love staying here and will keep coming back whenever we can :)
