Sunseeker Motel

We spent a week here as a family of four at the beginning of February, and it was a great base for exploring Hervey Bay. The beach is just across the road and you can walk to everything you need. The room was comfortable and spacious, and the owners were really friendly and helpful. One night we locked the key inside, but they had no trouble driving over to let us back in. Highly recommend.

Glynn and Julie were lovely to talk to and very trusting, including when we used the washing facilities. We were a family of six and were all devastated to leave after two nights and a day. We'd have loved to take the beautiful motel with us. The pre-arrival messages were excellent; since the place had closed, they left our key in the flat. It was cool when we arrived, and both the AC and fan were delightful. The clean, comfortable flat had plenty of space, with a sofa and two single chairs, and the bedrooms were a good size for all six of us. The bathroom and shower were lovely and clean too. The kitchen was substantial and well stocked, though a bigger frying pan would have helped for cooking for six, and we could have used more cereal bowls. The location by the seafront was perfect, with a lovely, fairly shaded walk along the water. Shops were about a 20-minute walk away, which felt easy. We didn't use the pool or BBQ area, but both looked nice and the pool was warm. With more time, I'd have tried them. I highly recommend this motel for a stay in Hervey Bay. Thanks for making us feel so welcome.

Really good service. The rooms are basic but clean, with what you need, and the pool was spotless.

The motel is set a little back from the main traffic and across from the beach, so it was quiet and fairly private, even on a Friday night. The room felt spacious and comfortable, and although it got down to 8C overnight, we didn't need the heating. There are lots of places to eat within easy walking distance. My first impression was that it was clean, fresh and welcoming. A pleasant stay, and I'd be happy to return.
